the church started as a hall in Castle Hill,the name was chosen by H/G Bishop Bishoy who is related to St Sedhom Bishay from Tanta Egypt and he did help in approval of the church in the Hills area in-spite of the opposition of All the priests of Sydney to the idea in a meeting with them,the approval came direct from H/H pop Shenuda,just before ordenation of H/G Bishop Daniel to Sydney but we had his blessing soon after , and the church was served By Fr Pavlus , Fr Arsanious and Fr Athanasius from St Abanoub Blacktown church, till we had Fr Messael (a monk from St Antonious monastery) to serve .Fr Messael passed away and at his late days Fr Arsanious came to help him because of his health problems till he passed away and Fr Arsanious continue his service to the congregation. May God give him all the strength to continue his effort to guide us to be in heaven with Jesus all.
